The Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government has approved the appointments of two Liberians to key leadership positions within the regional body.
Cllr. Charlyne M. Brumskine has been appointed as a Judge of the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice for the 2026–2030 term, while Hon. Dehpue Yenpea Zuo has been named Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture of the ECOWAS Commission. His appointment takes effect on September 1, 2026.
Brumskine, the daughter of the late Liberian politician Charles Walker Brumskine, joins four other judges endorsed by the Authority to serve on the Community Court of Justice during the 2026–2030 term.
Zuo’s appointment follows the adoption of recommendations from the 96th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers on statutory appointments for the 2026–2030 period, marking another significant representation for Liberia within the regional organization.
