Prophet Key’s six-month prison sentence ends today, August 13, 2026, but his expected release has been delayed amid questions over whether he fully complied with additional conditions given by the Supreme Court.
Key has served the six-month sentence and reportedly fulfilled several of the Court’s requirements, including issuing an apology and filing the required behavior bond. He also reportedly published the apology in three Liberian newspapers over a total period of five days.
However, the publications were reportedly not made on five consecutive days, as required by the Court. There was a break between some of the publication dates.
This has raised questions about whether Key fully satisfied the specific terms attached to his release.
