MONROVIA, Liberia — Liberia’s Minister of Mines and Energy, Hon. R. Matenokay Tingban, has described the country as “infrastructure bereaved,” highlighting what he says is the nation’s continued deficit in critical infrastructure, particularly within the energy and mining sectors.
Minister Tingban’s remark points to broader challenges facing Liberia’s infrastructural development, including limited energy infrastructure and other facilities needed to support economic growth and investment.
“In other words, Liberia is infrastructure bereaved,” Minister Tingban said, emphasizing the country’s need for greater investment in infrastructure to support the mining and energy sectors.
