The Acting Principal of Blemeyea Public School, also known as Barsee Kpangbai Public School in District Two, Bong County, James Kollie Kpontah, says the school is operating with only two teachers, one of whom is currently unwell.
According to Kpontah, he is responsible for teaching students from the ABC class through the fifth grade due to the shortage of teaching staff.
Speaking during a news-gathering visit on Monday, Kpontah explained that he dismissed the students before 1:00 PM to travel to Gbarnga, while the other teacher, who is reportedly ill, was not actively teaching on campus.
He further disclosed that the school is facing a shortage of instructional materials, which he says is affecting the learning environment.
