KIGALI, Rwanda — Liberia’s Men’s National Football Team, the Lone Star, has praised the Liberian community in Rwanda for its strong support during the team’s recent match at Amahoro Stadium.
The national team expressed appreciation to Liberians who turned out on Friday to cheer the players throughout the encounter.
“To every single member of the Liberian Community in Rwanda who made it to the stands of the Amahoro Stadium on Friday, thank you for standing by us through every minute on and off the pitch,” the team said.
The Lone Star added that the community’s “incredible support and non-stop energy” did not go unnoticed.
The team’s message highlights the role of Liberians living abroad in supporting the national team during international competitions.
