River Gee County | Oct. 22, 2026 | A 14-year-old boy identified as Prince Chea has been found safe after going missing for three days in Tienpo Chegboken, Karford Administrative district, River Gee County, sparking concern over his safety and well-being.
According to family members, Prince went missing on October 19 while reportedly traveling to visit his grandmother, Madam Pauline Quayee, in Chlarken Village, in Chegboken.
Prince explained that he lost his way and spent the night of October 20 in the bush. On October 21, he eventually arrived in Gbeapo Pronoken, Nyanawiliken Administrative, where concerned residents found him sitting beside the road and was crying.
Moved by his condition, residents took Prince to the General Town Chief of Pronoken, Bobby G. Tweh, where he received assistance and spent the night.
In a positive turn of events, Chief Tweh subsequently escorted Prince back to his home area and reunited him with his grandmother, who had reportedly been searching for him.
However, the incident has raised fresh concerns about the boy’s safety after his grandmother disclosed that this was not the first time he had gone missing.
Madam Quayee confirmed that Prince is her grandchild and appealed for greater attention, care, and guidance to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
While Prince’s safe return is a relief to his family and community, the incident highlights the importance of protecting children, providing proper guidance, and ensuring that young people receive the care and attention they need.
The community’s intervention and Chief Tweh’s efforts to reunite the boy with his grandmother demonstrate the importance of collective responsibility in protecting vulnerable children.
