The European Union (EU), in collaboration with the Government of Liberia, has committed EUR 130,000 (USD 141,028.55) to assist flood victims across Montserrado, Bong, and Grand Cape Mount counties.
This funding is aimed at alleviating the suffering of vulnerable communities severely affected by ongoing extreme rainfall that is expected to persist until November 2024.
The financial support will be channeled through the Liberia National Red Cross, which will focus on providing emergency shelters and essential services to those most in need, including women, children, and individuals with physical disabilities.
It targets counties including Montserrado, Bong, and Grand Cape Mount.
