Concerns Raised Over Quality of Construction Materials in Liberia

MONROVIA – Concerns are mounting over the quality of construction materials sold on the Liberian market, with calls for stricter oversight of products such as zinc, steel rods, cement, bricks, and paint.

Commenting on the issue, William Zayzay questioned which government institution is responsible for monitoring the quality of building materials imported and sold across the country.

“The problem with quality construction materials on the Liberia market. I share the pain of this building owner,” Zayzay wrote, expressing sympathy over an apparent construction-related incident.

His remarks have renewed public debate about the need for stronger quality control measures to protect consumers and ensure that building materials meet acceptable safety standards.
