Dillon blasts visitors who usually go to his fence gate early morning without invitation: “I am not coming outside. You will stay there”

By Archie Ayouba Boan

The Senator appeared on the Super Morning Show with Talk-show Host Emmanuel T.J. Kollie, at the State Broadcaster, ELBC 99.9FM.

“Somebody had your number, and they are to your gate 6:30am in the morning. Then they say, Senator, I am to your gate. I am not coming outside. That number that you are having, the time you were coming from your house, you were supposed to send me message to tell me that I am coming to your house. You cannot come to my gate. If you are to my gate by 6:30am, it means that you went to bed early, you got up early. You don’t know when I went to bed. You don’t care about that. But you come to my house and say, Senator, I am right to your gate. You will stay there. Somebody got to tell our people that their mindset needs to change.” Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, Montserrado County, 2026

“If I am given your mandate to become Senator of Montserrado County, I won’t put fence around my house. I will continue to openly live and engage with my people.” Abraham Darius Dillon, Senatorial Candidate, Montserrado, 2019

In 2019, Senatorial Candidate Darius Dillon promised not to fence his residence, because he has to regularly interact with his people, Liberian voters, if they elected him. Ever since before 2026, Senator Dillon’s residence has been fenced, and he’s now blasting the same electorates not to come at his fence without invitation after promising them to not put fence around his house.

Is this a betrayal or a failed promise? Have your say.
