MONROVIA – Executive Protection Service (EPS) Director Col. Sam Gaye has declared that authorities will destroy the recently seized 4.2 tons of cocaine this week, while issuing a defiant warning to those linked to the illicit shipment.
In a public statement, Gaye said the destruction of the narcotics would be videotaped and shared with those allegedly connected to the drugs.
“We will burn their 4.2 tons of cocaine this week. And we will videotape it and send it to them in Colombia. Bring it on if you’re vexed. Get in your boat or plane and come meet us at the burn site,” Gaye stated.
His remarks come amid heightened public attention following one of Liberia’s largest reported cocaine seizures and ongoing investigations into the case.
Authorities have maintained that the government remains committed to combating transnational drug trafficking and ensuring that those connected to the case are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
