HARBEL, Margibi County — Firestone Senior High School on Sunday, September 27, 2026, celebrated its 18th Annual Convocation, graduating 273 students at the Firestone Gymnasium in Lower Margibi County.
The school’s principal, Annie K. Johnson, said the 273 graduates successfully met both the Ministry of Education’s requirements and the criteria established by the Firestone School System, thereby qualifying them for graduation.
The graduating class, named “Cream De La Cream,” meaning “the best of the best,” comprised students who were part of a class of more than 300 12th graders enrolled at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year.
Serving as convocation speaker, Attorney Nyekeh Y. Forkpah, Deputy Minister of Administration at the Ministry of Education, encouraged the graduates to view failure and mistakes as opportunities for learning and preparation for future success.
“Mistakes are part of life,” Deputy Minister Forkpah told the graduates, urging them not to be afraid of failure or criticism as they pursue their goals beyond high school.
He encouraged the graduates to draw on their inner strength during difficult moments, find reasons to succeed, identify their purpose in life, and remain focused on meaningful goals.
“Find your purpose in life, focus on it and reinvent yourself,” he urged.
The convocation was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Firestone Liberia management, community leaders, alumni, parents, guardians, and other invited guests.
