Will ex-Finance Minister Tweah and others go to jail or not in the US$6.2 million corruption case?
First Defendant’s verdict read: Criminal facilitation and theft of public funds have hooked one of the defendants, former Acting Justice Minister Cllr. Nyenati Tuan. He is guilty. More verdicts are to be read.
The 15 jurors are finally out of their deliberation room as State security assemble on the grounds of the Court. The verdict has been presented to the judge. Is it a guilty verdict, a not-guilty verdict, or a hung verdict?
If the verdict goes against the five defendants including ex-Finance Minister Samuel Tweah, reports within the Courtroom suggest that their lawyers have already prepared to take a flight to the Supreme Court full bench.
