Former Assistant Minister and Diplomat Pelham-Raad Endorses Exiled Activist Kollie for Montserrado Senate Seat

Monrovia — Former Assistant Minister for International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former District #10 Representative Candidate, Hon. Karishma Pelham-Raad, has publicly endorsed Liberian activist in exile Martin K. N. Kollie for the Montserrado County Senate seat in the forthcoming 2029 general and legislative elections.

Pelham-Raad made the endorsement on social media, Friday, January 16, 2026, describing Kollie as a trusted ally and pledging her full support. “Martin K. N. Kollie, my ally, you have my undying support,” she wrote.

Widely known for her humanitarian work, advocacy, and strong grassroots engagement with young people across Liberia, Pelham-Raad’s endorsement has drawn significant public attention. Political pundits say her backing could provide a major boost to Kollie’s political prospects if he decides to run, particularly among the youth, the grassrooters, the students, the intellectual class, and progressive voters in Montserrado County.

Although Kollie has not formally declared his intention to contest the Senate seat or any public office till now, he has recently received multiple endorsements from several influential figures within Montserrado and beyond, fueling speculation about a potential candidacy.

Adding to the momentum, the current Assistant Minister for Public Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Saywhar Nana Gbaa, also voiced her support shortly after Pelham-Raad’s post. In a brief comment shared online, she wrote, “He’s the man,” signaling agreement with Pelham-Raad’s endorsement.

The dual endorsements have generated largely positive reactions on social media, with many users expressing support for the two diplomats and praising Kollie’s long years of consistent activism, policy-driven advocacy, and philanthropic services.

As discussions around the 2029 elections continue to intensify, public endorsements to prefer Kollie for the Montserrado race keep coming in.
