The Gompa City Magisterial Court has sentenced former Gompa City Mayor Amos Nyan Glagbogay Suah to 30 days in prison for allegedly inciting citizens against the court. The ruling was handed down Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

The former Ganta City Mayor has accused Chief Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay of abusing his power amid a major land demolition dispute in Ganta (Gompa City), Nimba County.

In addition to his 30-day prison sentence, Suah has also been fined US$100 by the Gompa Magisterial Court.
