Former Lone Star sensation Theo Week has established a new political party named Congress of the Liberian People (COLP). Weeks says he will be on the presidential ballot in 2029.

“From The People’s President
As I reflect deeply on our nation’s history, I am reminded of the brave men and women of earlier generations who stood for change, justice, freedom, and national unity. They demanded power for the people, liberation for all, and a Liberia where every citizen, across our 15 counties and approximately 27 tribes, could live with dignity and opportunity.
Today, we stand at another defining moment in our history. Our generation must not remain silent while poverty, inequality, and hopelessness continue to affect our people. We must rise with courage, integrity, and purpose to build the Liberia we all deserve.
I am proud to stand with these outstanding men and women of integrity and great prestige, united in one voice to call for,
The liberation of our people.
the eradication of extreme poverty.
equal opportunity for every Liberian.
justice and fairness within our borders.
and a stronger, united nation for all.
Let us stand together, Let us build together, Let us lead together, United, we are one people, one nation, and one future.
To the young people of Liberia, the time has come for us to take responsibility for the destiny of our country. We cannot afford to be passive while others shape our future. The future belongs to those who are willing to serve, sacrifice, and stand for the truth.
As we look ahead to 2029, the message is clear: enough is enough. Liberia must move forward. The Congress of the Liberian People (COLP) stands firmly for freedom, justice, equality, and opportunity for all.”
