Justice Minister Tweh Dedicates Vehicles to Boost Legal Services

Monrovia, Liberia – In a move hailed as a transformative step for Liberia’s justice system, Minister of Justice and Attorney General Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh has dedicated twenty-one vehicles to county attorneys and legal counsels across the country. The ceremony, held in Monrovia, underscored the government’s commitment to improving access to justice and enhancing the efficiency of legal services nationwide.

The vehicles will be distributed across Liberia’s fifteen counties, providing critical support to legal practitioners in executing their duties. With improved mobility, attorneys and legal counsels are expected to reach remote areas more effectively, ensuring that legal services are accessible to all Liberians.

Cllr. Tweh described the initiative as a pivotal step in addressing the operational challenges faced by the justice system, particularly in underserved regions where the lack of transportation has hindered legal processes. Speaking at the ceremony, he emphasized the importance of responsible use of the vehicles, urging recipients to prioritize serving the public and upholding the principles of justice.

The dedication event brought together senior government officials, members of the legal community, and representatives of donor agencies who supported the initiative. Attendees praised the government’s proactive approach to strengthening the Ministry of Justice, viewing the gesture as a practical response to longstanding issues within the sector.

Cllr. Tweh reaffirmed the government’s dedication to investing in the justice system, pledging further measures to create a fairer and more efficient judiciary. He expressed optimism that the vehicles would enable county attorneys and legal counsels to meet their obligations promptly and effectively, fostering trust in the legal process.
