A senior Liberian drug enforcement official has highlighted growing international cooperation in the fight against narcotics trafficking following an engagement with U.S. counterparts.
Precious Rue, identified as Chief of Leeward at the Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), described her recent participation at the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as a significant milestone in her career.
According to Rue, the engagement brought together experts to exchange ideas and compare cross-border systems aimed at tackling drug trafficking. She emphasized that such collaborations are essential in addressing what she described as a growing global crisis.
Rue noted that the discussions focused not only on dialogue but also on developing practical solutions to combat the spread of illicit drugs. She added that her participation reflects years of dedication and commitment to the field.
Officials say increased cooperation between national and international agencies remains key to strengthening enforcement efforts against drug trafficking networks worldwide.
