The Special Drug Squad (SDS) of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) carried out a major anti-drug raid today at the Baptist Seminary Mangrove Swamp Ghetto, a notorious drug hotspot in the highway community.
The squad seemed to have experienced a major challenge during the raid. Even though, the makeshift hideout in the Mangrove swamp was set ablaze, drug suspects narrowly escaped by jumiping into the stretch of water of the mangrove swamp. LDEA agents were unable to pursue them further.
This suggests that the LDEA needs more support, especially advanced opeational equipment, to carry out this kind of raids in swampy surroundings.
