Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) suspends Oscar Brown for time indefinite; places 7 employees on administrative leave amid US$19 million Drug Bust

The Liberia Airport Authority has placed seven of its employees on administrative leave with immediate effect, pending the outcome of both internal administrative review processes in connection and the ongoing investigation into the reported USD $19 million drug bust at the airport.

‎According to the LAA, the following employees have been placed on administrative leave with immediate effect:

Nathan E. Watson

Henry Y. King

Mrs. Geraldine C. Zeon

Mrs. Ruth G. Gbapawea

Benjamin Rivercess

Mohammed Gbowrah

Roland G. Taylor

‎The authority also said that RIA Security Supervisor Oscar John Brown, who is at large, shall be placed on indefinite suspension, as authorized by the Management of the Authority, pending the conclusion of all relevant investigative proceedings.

The LAA stated that the measures are administrative and precautionary in nature and shall not be construed as disciplinary findings or determinations of liability.
