ZWEDRU, Grand Gedeh County — The Liberia National Police (LNP), Grand Gedeh County Detachment, has arrested six individuals accused of involvement in an alleged armed robbery operation in Zwedru.
The suspects were arrested on the night of August 24, 2026, during a routine police operation and night patrol conducted across the city.
According to the LNP, the suspects have been charged with criminal conspiracy and armed robbery, and have subsequently been forwarded to court to face prosecution.
Those arrested include Victor Bailey Jr., also known as “Junior Bailey”; Emmanuel Pennue, alias “Tiah”; Moses Boakai, alias “2Pac”; Emmanuel Chea, alias “Street Smart”; and T. Boy Garlo.
Police said the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and combat criminal activities in Zwedru. The suspects are expected to face the judicial process, where the allegations against them will be heard and determined in accordance with Liberian law.
Although the police statement noted that six suspects were arrested, only five names were included in the information provided. The identity of the sixth suspect remains undisclosed.
