Looming Land Crisis: Family of former Chief Justice Federick E. R. Johnson is claiming the entire Capital Bypass and Jallah Town including University of Liberia

His Honor Frederick E. R. Johnson was the 9th Chief Justice of Liberia who served from 1924 to 1933 under the administration of former President Charles D. B. King. The Late Chief Justice Johnson was succeeded by His Honor Louis Arthur Grimes who served from 1933 to 1949.

The family of the late Chief Justice, F.E.R. Johnson, has since issued a memo to all inhabitants occupying the land that they are claiming, as stated below:

MEMO:

Charles R. Johnson, Frederick E. Johnson and Margaret D. Johnson; Administrators and Administratrix of the Intestate Estate of the late F.E.R Johnson former Chief Justice of the Republic of Liberia, the late Victoria Johnson Maxwell, Jeneva Johnson-Duff and Charles R. Johnson Sr of the City of Monrovia.

WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

AS STATED BELOW

This is to inform the general public and all those who are illegally occupying the properties of the former Chief Justice of the honorable Supreme Court, Republic of Liberia; the late Frederick E. R Johnson situated at Capital Bye-Pass and the Russell Drive called Jallah Town Road are hereby advise to meet with the Heirs and Administrators of the Estate along with their lawyers for the purpose of peacefully settling this matter void of litigation.

This warning also goes to individuals who are in the constant habit of buying/leasing properties without doing background investigation in said ares are doing so at your own risk. In the event said illegal occupants fail to adhere to this communication, we will have to alternative but to seek legal means by ousting, evicting and ejecting you from the property.
