MDR Youth Leader Gives Senator Kogar 24-Hour Ultimatum, Threatens Action Over Party Symbol

Monrovia – The National Youth Chairman of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR), Czar M. Palay, has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Nimba County Senator Samuel Kogar to retract his recent statement and return a symbolic party hat, warning of unspecified action if he fails to comply.

Speaking publicly, Palay claimed Kogar was not part of the party’s early efforts to strengthen the MDR and accused him of failing to fulfill the purpose for which the hat was presented. He alleged that the hat was intended to promote party unity, redefine the party’s agenda, and mobilize support for the current government.

Palay further warned that if Kogar failed to return the hat within the stipulated period, the party would “assign militants” to retrieve it and challenged the senator to wear the hat at any public gathering.

The remarks are expected to heighten tensions within the MDR. Senator Kogar had not publicly responded to the ultimatum at the time of publication.
