A young Liberian scholar, Roosevelt Anthony Mayango Jr., along with his family, on yesterday, paid a courtesy visit to the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) following widespread recognition of his remarkable academic achievement.
At just 14-year-old, Roosevelt graduated as Valedictorian of the Our Lady of Fatima Rehab School System in Lower Johnsonville. Building on this exceptional accomplishment, he has secured admission at the Stella Maris Polytechnic University, where he is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. In recognition of his academic excellence and promising future, NOCAL Management has reached an agreement with Roosevelt’s family to fully underwrite his undergraduate and graduate studies through the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.
Once finalized, the scholarship arrangement will add Roosevelt to the number of students at various universities across Liberia who are currently benefiting from NOCAL’s scholarship initiatives. The gesture demonstrates the Company’s commitment to investing in the nation’s human capital especially through educational opportunities for the next generation of leaders and professionals who will contribute to the growth and development of Mama Liberia.
