Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., accompanied by a high-level delegation, has arrived in Addis Ababa, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, to commence an official state visit at the invitation of His Excellency Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The aircraft touched down at Bole International Airport at 8:20 PM local time.
The visit is intended to strengthen the longstanding diplomatic and cooperative ties between the Republic of Liberia and Ethiopia, and provide a forum to consult on bilateral, regional, and international matters of mutual interest.
While in Addis Ababa, President Boakai is also scheduled to visit agricultural sites to observe production practices and value‑addition processes for farm produce, and to explore opportunities for cooperation in agriculture and related sectors.
