MONROVIA, LIBERIA — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has made a series of appointments across key government institutions, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Judiciary, Office of the Ombudsman, Forestry Development Authority, Central Bank of Liberia, and Ministry of Mines and Energy.
According to a release from the Executive Mansion, the appointments are intended to strengthen public institutions, improve service delivery, and ensure effective leadership across government. Appointments requiring legislative approval remain subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
Among the key appointments, F. Alphonso Y. Belleh II has been named Deputy Minister for Youth Development, while Cllr. T. Emmanuel Tomah has been appointed Relieving Judge for River Gee County.
At the Office of the Ombudsman, Atty. Etmonia Mueadeh Martin has been promoted to Chairperson to fill a vacancy, while Cllr. Sagie F. Kamara, Sr. has been appointed Commissioner.
Mr. Sundeh A. Blanyon has been named Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services at the Forestry Development Authority, while Ms. Euphemia Sweh-Monmia has been appointed Deputy Governor for Economic Policy at the Central Bank of Liberia.
The President also appointed Moses Y. Kollie as Industrial Relations Manager at China Union/Bangli and Fahnlon B. Gbakoyah as Industrial Relations Manager at MNG Gold in Bong County.
In the Judiciary, the President appointed 73 Stipendiary and Associate Magistrates across 13 counties, including Montserrado, Grand Bassa, Sinoe, Maryland, Grand Cape Mount, Grand Gedeh, Nimba, Bong, Lofa, Bomi, Grand Kru, Rivercess, and Gbarpolu.
The appointments cover magisterial courts in several cities and rural communities, with Nimba receiving the largest number of magistrates.
President Boakai congratulated all appointees and urged them to serve with professionalism, integrity, diligence, and a strong commitment to the public interest.
