Dismissed Police Commissioner (Unit 106) Johnny Bolar Dean clearly admitted that he received a US$10,000 bribe from the Drug Cartel in exchange for “special treatement” while Dismissed RIA Deputy Managing Director for Operations Mark Egon Kuiah is a leading suspect in the US$336 million drug bust.
As a result of that coupled with pieces of evidence gathered from a thorough investigation, President Joseph Nyumah Boakai dismissed both of them on July 31, 2026. But why are both of them still walking around freely. Why aren’t they in jail since July 31, 2026 like others who have been directly linked to the drug scandal in Liberia?
It was even Mark Egon Kuiah who wrote a letter requesting authorization on July 13, 2026 for a ‘ghost’ Comoros-flagged ship “IB Atlantic IV Maroni”, believed to be transporting a huge quantity of drugs, to berth or dock in Liberia’s terriorial waters and exclusive economic zone. But Kuiah now freely passes around Monrovia with impunity.
Selective justice or what?
This is a developing story.
