Sen. Moye Leads Educational and Development Initiatives in Bong County

Senator Prince Moye of Bong County continues to push forward his vision of educational empowerment, infrastructure development, and community engagement. Recently, he reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the county through various projects and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of his constituents.

One of the key focuses of Senator Moye’s leadership is education. He announced the refurbishment of an elementary school to a junior high school in District Three and the completion of a new high school building in the same district. He emphasized that education remains a cornerstone of his leadership and a priority for his administration.

“Our scholarship program in Bong County is one of the largest in the region,” Senator Moye proudly stated. The scholarships are benefiting students from various institutions such as Bong Technical College, Moye Moye Memorial College, Cuttington University, and others in Montserrado County, including AMEU and Stella Maris Polytechnic. These scholarships are part of his commitment to preparing future leaders.

“These scholarships are designed to prepare future leaders to take the mantle when we, as current leaders, are no longer around,” Moye added.

In addition to his educational initiatives, Senator Moye is fostering peace and unity in Bong County by mobilizing religious leaders. He recently donated a fleet of vehicles to both Christian and Muslim leaders to conduct peace and stability campaigns across the county. He stressed that the initiative transcends religious affiliations, focusing instead on unity for the progress of Bong County and Liberia as a whole.

Senator Moye has also been active in addressing the needs of vulnerable communities. As part of his year-end activities for 2024, he distributed food and non-food items to various communities. These efforts were aimed at alleviating the challenges faced by residents in need.

For his 49th birthday, Senator Moye organized a series of impactful events in Sanoyea District, including a partnership with “Doctors Without Borders” to provide free eye care services to thousands of citizens. He emphasized that expanding healthcare access in Bong County is a key part of his development agenda.

“We will continue to expand these services, which I see as very necessary for my people in Bong County,” Moye affirmed.

The celebration also included the empowerment of the Sanoyea City Authority, the launch of a clean-up campaign, care for elderly residents, and support for the local clinic.

Reflecting on his role as the campaign manager for the Unity Party (UP) during the 2023 elections, Senator Moye expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in Bong County under the Unity Party-led administration. He pointed to significant achievements such as the renovation of the county’s Administrative Building, the rehabilitation of the Superintendent’s compound, and the transformation of the Gbarnga General Market into a more conducive space for marketers.

“Bong County is beginning to take shape for development under the Unity Party administration,” Moye noted. “At the Legislature, we are committed to supporting President Boakai’s vision and ensuring that any development in the county is complemented by our efforts.”

Despite the progress, Senator Moye remains focused on further advancing his development agenda, emphasizing that his work is far from over. “With the popular support of my people, I am committed to continuing these efforts while awaiting what God has in store for me,” he concluded.
