As attached, Verity News investigation has obtained two different letters of presidential nominations as Ambassador-Designate to Belgium and Italy, but George Solo was never invited for confirmation or confirmed until he died.
The family of the Late Ambassador-Designate to Italy and Belgium, Amb. George Solo, has accused Montserrado County Senator and Chairman on Foreign Affairs Committee of the Liberian Senate, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, of blocking George Solo’s confirmation twice. NLA Director General Peter Solo said Dillon hates the Krahn people, and they are going to publicly confront him to explain after laying their brother George Solo to rest. Family members claimed that George Solo died as a result of frustration and high blood pressure due to Dillon’s action to continuously block his confirmation two times in a row.
“Again, due to Senator Dillon’s dislike for the Krahn people, he went and prevented that appointment to Italy again and undermined the confirmation after undermining the first one. Why would you do this to a young man who also struggled to bring this government to power? Dillon is not a member of the Unity Party. He is an associate of us, the Unity Party. He is not a member. We know his game plan. We know his game plan. So, my family has decided that after the homegoing of my brother, we will publicly confront Senator Dillon.
