Citizens of RiverCess County phoned in to a local talk show via RiverCess Broadcasting Service (RBS) 99.3 FM to express their frustration.
1) Jeff Wesseh from Nappy Town, Rockcess:
“When he comes back, meaning he is deceiving himself. If la Jeff Wesseh he is waiting for to stand under the sun to cast a vote for him again, meaning that he will remain poor.”

Politics is not about lying to people; it is an act of advocacy for the people within the place that you live. Now that the senator had come out before to announce to the people of Rivercess, and the people of Liberia at large, that he has noooo intention to contest an election, coming back, if I don’t know, but if he has any feelings to come back to contest the election, is an act of disturbing other people to reduce their vote”
3) Abraham Gibson from Barblozohn Town:
“But the first thing is that Geevon shouldn’t fool himself into saying he’s coming back; he can’t make it again, and secondly, if somebody will deceive themselves to say I will go with Geevon to show me to the Rivercess people for me to be senator, even that person will not get one vote in Rivercess. The man say he was going to open a coconut farm in Rivercess; if somebody turns fool for Geevon to bring them, it mean that the person na want to work in Rivercess.”

“What really Geevon doing in this county before he was talking to the Rivercess people that he supporting Geevon, Geevon is not working in this county here, he can’t come in this area, even seh he come back we will just eat his money.”

“Okay, I think what Mr. Twehway and the Geevon man are supposed to be doing is to fulfill the promises that they made.”

“When Wellington comes, Wellington can’t win, and he knows what he’s doing. Let them petition him so he can fool himself. He has made himself just like old man Bay-Kar because he can’t control the anger, and he can’t consult his own supporters before coming up and making decisions. He knows politics sweet, then he can’t wait, then later he want come back, let him come back.”
