Twenty officers of the Liberia National Police have departed Liberia for the Rwanda to participate in a specialized tactical training program aimed at enhancing the operational capacity and professionalism of the force.
Before their departure on July 4, Inspector General of Police Gregory O.W. Coleman urged the officers to remain disciplined and focused throughout the training. He reminded them that they would be representing both the Liberia National Police and the country, encouraging them to maximize the opportunity and return with knowledge and skills that will strengthen policing and public safety.
According to the LNP, the training is part of the institution’s broader efforts to build a more professional, capable, and effective police service under its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
The initiative reflects the police leadership’s commitment to improving law enforcement standards through international cooperation and specialized capacity-building programs.
