A staunch Unity Party (UP) supporter, Queen Johnson, popularly known as “General,” has expressed frustration over what she describes as the failure to provide employment opportunities for party loyalists.
In a statement circulating publicly, Johnson questioned the selection of P. Maxwell Vah, a former Assistant Minister for American Affairs under ex-President George Weah, as Regional Coordinator for the Yellow Machine Management Team under the Special Presidential Project Coordinating Committee (SPPCC).
She wondered why individuals who previously served under the former administration were receiving appointments while many UP partisans continued to struggle for employment.
“What a shame. You really think all these guys you’re appointing and giving jobs can change and vote UP? Partisans deserve better,” Johnson wrote.
Emphasizing her frustration, she added: “Political reward is not in Heaven.”
Her comments have brought renewed attention to questions surrounding political loyalty, public appointments, and employment expectations among governing-party supporters.
