A communication obtained by Verity News has officially confirmed the resignation of the former National Secretary General and Prominent Partisan of the Alternative National Congress (ANC).
Cllr. Aloysius Toe, who resigned just days after ANC Political Leader Alexander Cummings attended a CDC-organized roundtable political engagement, says his decision to resign was triggered by his arbitrary removal from the ANC Core Leadership Chatroom by the political leader on September 5, 2026.
“Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from the Alternative National Congress, effectively immediately, following my arbitrary removal by the Political Leader from the ANC New Core Leadership Chatroom on September 5, 2026 – without any cause or triggering even known to me, without explanation, and without courtesy of prior conversation.”
The exit of the learned counsel is a blow to the ANC ahead of the 2029 general and presidential elections in Liberia. His resignation has revealed deepening political rift within the party.
This is a developing story.
