CENTRAL CITY, RIVERCESS COUNTY — The assigned Judge of the 14th Judicial Circuit Court, Judge A. Blamo Dixon, has issued a strong warning against jury tampering as the August 2026 Term of Court officially gets underway.
Speaking during the opening ceremony of the August A.D. 2026 Term of Court, Judge Dixon cautioned prospective jurors, lawyers, court staff, and members of the public against any attempt to improperly influence or interfere with jurors.
The judge warned that anyone caught and proven to be involved in jury tampering will face the full weight of the law.
“The law shall take its due course when you are caught and it is established that you are involved in such acts,” Judge Dixon warned.»
He described jury tampering as a serious offense that undermines the administration of justice and called on everyone connected to the court to respect the integrity and independence of the judicial process.
Reflecting on the previous May Term of Court, Judge Dixon commended the cooperation received from county attorney, public defenders, court staff, and residents of Rivercess County.
According to the judge, the court disposed of six cases out of 11 cases that were pending on its docket during the May Term.
For the August Term, the judge disclosed that nine criminal cases are currently on the court’s docket, with no civil appeals listed.
Judge Blamo Dixon subsequently declared the 14th Judicial Circuit Court officially open for the transaction of judicial business during the August 2026 Term.
He thanked the court staff, legal practitioners, county authorities, and the people of Rivercess County for their continued cooperation with the judiciary.
