Speaker Koon Reaffirms Commitment to Free Healthcare Through District #11 Mobile Clinic

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Richard Nagbe Koon, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to accessible and free healthcare delivery in Montserrado County’s District #11, through the district’s ongoing mobile clinic initiative.

The Speaker, who also represents District #11 at the National Legislature, emphasized that improving healthcare access has remained a top priority under his leadership. In a statement shared over the weekend, Koon highlighted the impact of the mobile clinic, which he described as a lifeline for residents who previously faced major hurdles in accessing basic medical services.

“Access to healthcare has always been top of our list of priorities for the people of District 11. This ambulance a mobile clinic (not our first for the district though) will go a long way to ensure speedy and accessible healthcare for our people. More to come,” he said.

Since its launch over five years ago, the District #11 Mobile Clinic has offered free medical services ranging from general treatment to maternal and child healthcare, reaching thousands of residents in underserved communities.

“The mobile clinic continues to meet some of the most critical health needs of our people,” Speaker Koon noted, reaffirming that the initiative is deeply rooted in his office’s core mission: “Serving the People of District #11, Montserrado County, Diligently.”

The Speaker assured constituents that additional interventions are on the way as part of his broader development agenda.

Residents and stakeholders in the district have lauded the effort, with many calling the mobile clinic a model for community-based healthcare in Liberia.
