President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has announced sweeping changes across several government institutions, making new nominations and appointments as part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance, accountability, and institutional performance under the ARREST Agenda.
The latest round of appointments, according to an Executive Mansion release, includes new faces in key ministries and agencies, subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where required.
At the Ministry of Mines and Energy, President Boakai named Mr. R. Matenokay Tingban as Minister, while Mr. Sumo Samuel Momolu becomes Assistant Minister for Mines and Mr. Samuel Summerville serves as Assistant Minister for Mining Exploration.
In the Ministry of Education, Mr. Thomas Momo Parker has been appointed Deputy Minister for Planning, Research and Development, and Mr. Oscar Gurtor Flomo as Assistant Minister for the same department.
The National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) now has Dr. Cecelia Cassell as Executive Director.
At the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ms. Agnes C. Marshall has been named Assistant Minister for Children and Social Protection, while Ms. Josephine Greaves takes over as Assistant Minister for Research, Policy and Planning.
Significant changes have also been made at the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), where the President accepted the resignation of Board Chairman Hon. Massaquoi Kamara, and directed the retirement of Managing Director Hon. Jeremiah Mends-Cole on medical grounds. The President then appointed Mr. Ernest R. Hughes as Managing Director and Mr. Nyan Mantein as Chairman of the Board.

At the Judiciary, President Boakai appointed several new judges across the country:
Cllr. William G. Capehert, Judge, Traffic Court, Gbarnga City
Cllr. Eric Morlu, Judge, Debt Court, Lofa County
Cllr. Daniel D. Dolokelen, Judge, Debt Court, Bong County
Atty. Anthony Kollie, Judge, Criminal Court “E”, Lofa County
Cllr. Rennie O. Moses, Judge, Criminal Court “E”, Grand Gedeh County
President Boakai extended appreciation to the outgoing officials for their years of dedicated service and called on the new appointees to serve the Liberian people with integrity, diligence, and renewed commitment to national duty.
