The Civil Society Network of Liberia (CSNL), a leading pro-democracy organization, has praised Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti for what it calls her “remarkable achievements” and “transformative impact” on Liberia’s diplomatic relations.
In a press statement issued on November 9, 2025, the CSNL described Minister Nyanti as the best-performing official in President Joseph Boakai’s administration, citing her strong leadership and success in restoring Liberia’s diplomatic influence and international credibility since assuming office in February 2024.
According to the organization’s Research, Information, and Vetting Committee, Minister Nyanti’s tenure has been characterized by effective engagement strategies, exceptional negotiation skills, and results-driven diplomacy that have produced tangible benefits for the nation.
Highlights of Achievements
UN Security Council Seat: Liberia, under Minister Nyanti’s leadership, secured a Non-Permanent Seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the 2026–2027 terms, backed by broad international support-marking a historic milestone in Liberia’s foreign policy.
Strengthened U.S.-Liberia Relations:
Through sustained diplomatic engagement, the Ministry successfully negotiated the extension of U.S. visa validity for Liberian travelers (B1/B2 category) from 12 months to 36 months, facilitating easier travel and expanding opportunities for citizens.
Economic Diplomacy:
Minister Nyanti has advanced economic diplomacy by hosting high-level discussions with trade missions from the United Kingdom and France, aiming to attract foreign direct investment in agriculture, mining, education, and health-key priorities under the government’s ARREST Agenda.
Passport Service Reform:
She launched sweeping reforms in Liberia’s Passport Division, enhancing document security and decentralizing services through new regional offices in Gbarnga and Zwedru, making passport access more efficient for citizens outside Monrovia.
Expanded Diplomatic Relations:
Under her tenure, Liberia established new partnerships with Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Croatia, and Morocco, broadening collaboration in trade, education, health, and tourism.
The Civil Society Network of Liberia commended Minister Nyanti’s leadership as pivotal to strengthening Liberia’s global presence and supporting its ongoing post-conflict recovery and development efforts.
