Barclayville Court Seeks Transfer of Police Commander ACP Clement Barlatt Over Alleged Criminal Coercion Complaint

By Patrick Teah Jr.

The Barclayville City Magisterial Court has officially filed a complaint requesting the transfer of a senior police officer, identified as ACP Clement Barlatt, following allegations of criminal coercion brought against him.

According to an official communication dated April 27, 2026, and signed by Stipendiary Magistrate Boniface Toe Tweh Jr., the court has formally written the Region 5 Police Command requesting endorsement and the transfer of the accused officer for further legal proceedings.

The complaint originates from Alphonso N. Teah of Barclayville City, who accused ACP Barlatt of criminal coercion. The court’s communication indicates that the matter has been officially entered and now requires administrative and legal cooperation from the police hierarchy.

A handwritten note on the document confirms that it was received on April 28, 2026, by a senior officer within the command structure, acknowledging receipt of the court’s request.

The Region 5 Police Commander, headed by Moses Seepoe, is expected to act on the court’s request as proceedings continue.

Meanwhile, when contacted, ACP Barlatt reportedly stated that he had already addressed the issue and would not “continue with what he called that childish thing,” without providing further details.

The case is expected to advance once the police command responds to the court’s request and the accused officer is formally made available for legal proceedings.
