NIMBA COUNTY, Liberia — Representative Kortor S. Kwagrue of Nimba County District #5 has completed the construction of a major bridge linking the towns of Yao Gbloulay and Beahlay in Buuyao, marking a significant step toward improving transportation and community connectivity in Upper Nimba.
The project, undertaken as part of ongoing infrastructure development efforts in the district, is expected to ease movement for residents, farmers, and traders who previously faced difficulties crossing between the two communities, especially during the rainy season.
Local residents say the bridge will reduce travel time, improve access to markets, and strengthen social and economic ties between the surrounding towns.
Representative Kwagrue’s initiative is part of broader efforts to expand road access and improve rural infrastructure across District #5, where many communities have long depended on limited and often unreliable road networks.
Community members have welcomed the development, describing it as a practical intervention that addresses long-standing transportation challenges in the area.
