The office of Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dilon has experienced multiple resignations of political allies and loyalists since his ascendancy in 2019. Latest of these is his David Quayae Nagbe.
According to multiple sources, Senator Dillon reportedly replaced and removed David Nagbe from the payroll without prior notice. Another former staff Lasana S. Kanneh who also resigned in January 2026 said such action is “painful and unfair.”
“…My dear brother David Quayae Nagbe, soldier on. I truly feel for you in this difficult moment. Being replaced and removed from the payroll without any prior notice is painful and unfair. I almost told you about the situation the other day, but I held back because I felt you needed to discover it yourself. Now that the reality has hit, I pray you find strength, solace, and swift resolution. Greater and better opportunities will come. Stay strong. Shalom.” Lasana S. Kanneh, former Political Advisor to Senator Dillon
Some have accused Dillon of allegedly purging Nagbe after he publicly appreciated Liberian activist Martin K. N. Kollie for sponsoring him to acquire professional education at GONET Academy. Kollie is widely perceived to be a potential political rival to Senator Dillon in 2029 even though he has not made his intentions known.
“David Quayae Nagbe only crime was to appreciate Martin K. N. Kollie for helping him at GONET. Dillon removed him from the payroll without the young man knowledge. Jesus,” the PRO for Buchanan Port, Daniel Bassa Boy Johnson, said.
This paper reached out to Senator Dillon’s office for reaction, but to no avail up to reporting time.
As Dillon falls out with his political allies and loyalists who once helped him secured a Senatorial seat in two separate elections, 2019 and 2020, what could 2029 look like?
