County Development Officer Hails Progress at Sasstown Hospital in Grand Kru

Grand Kru County Development Officer Joe M. Sekpeh has commended the ongoing improvement of healthcare services and infrastructure at Sasstown Hospital in Electoral District #2, describing the facility as one that is steadily becoming one of the county’s leading health institutions.

Following a recent visit to the hospital, Sekpeh expressed satisfaction with the level of development observed, including improvements in medical facilities and the overall condition of the institution. He noted that the progress reflects efforts aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery for residents of District #2 and surrounding communities.

“Sasstown Hospital is becoming one of the best,” Sekpeh stated after touring the facility.

The County Development Officer also disclosed that the visit included engagements with residents of the Down Beach community, where discussions centered on community concerns and development priorities.

Healthcare remains a major component of Grand Kru County’s development agenda, with county authorities repeatedly emphasizing the need for improved access to quality medical services across the county. Sekpeh has previously highlighted development initiatives and infrastructure projects as key priorities for local authorities.

Residents have welcomed ongoing improvements at health facilities, noting that enhanced medical services are essential to addressing healthcare challenges in rural communities.

Sasstown Hospital serves as one of the major referral health facilities in Grand Kru County’s District #2, providing medical care to thousands of residents in the southeastern region of Liberia.
