The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) Political Leader Musa Hassan Bility says a government led by his party would make education free from high school through university and expand healthcare services across Liberia.
Speaking Saturday at the induction of Musa S. Kamara as the party’s National vice Chair for Recruitment and Mobilization, Bility said access to education should not depend on a family’s ability to pay tuition.
He told supporters that the CMC would invest in the education sector and ensure that students can complete their studies from senior high school to university without tuition fees.
Bility also pledged to improve healthcare services by extending medical facilities and personnel beyond Monrovia. He said many Liberians continue to die from illnesses that could be treated if quality healthcare were available closer to where they live.
According to him, people should not have to travel to the capital to receive basic medical care.
The CMC leader also called for political debates to become a regular part of Liberia’s electoral process, saying candidates should publicly explain their plans and answer questions from voters before elections.
He said this would help voters better understand the issues and make informed decisions at the ballot box.
Bility further noted that the party has already begun community engagement activities ahead of the 2029 elections and intends to remain involved in addressing issues affecting ordinary Liberians.
His comments came as the CMC continues efforts to strengthen its structures and increase its presence across the country ahead of the next electoral cycle.
