MONROVIA, Liberia – Cuttington University is set to graduate more than 400 students from its School of Graduate and Professional Studies, marking the largest graduating class in the history of the graduate program.
The announcement was made during the university’s baccalaureate service held in Monrovia ahead of commencement exercises at its main campus in Suacoco.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Rudolph Bropleh described the milestone as evidence of the institution’s growing impact on higher education in Liberia.
He said the record graduation reflects increasing public confidence in the university’s graduate and professional programs, which continue to expand in response to the country’s workforce needs.
“The fact that we are graduating more than 400 students this year demonstrates the confidence that Liberians continue to place in Cuttington University’s programs,” Dr. Bropleh said.
He emphasized the importance of graduate education in building a skilled workforce capable of driving national development and urged graduates to use their knowledge to serve society with integrity and professionalism.
Dr. Bropleh also praised faculty, staff, and students for their dedication, noting that many graduates balanced academic studies with professional and family responsibilities.
Founded in 1889, Cuttington University is one of Liberia’s oldest institutions of higher learning and has produced thousands of professionals serving in leadership roles across the country. The upcoming ceremony is expected to attract government officials, education stakeholders, alumni, and guests from across Liberia.
