‘Cocaine Culprits’ -EHS Manager, Cargo Handler Confess

“The shipment was collected from Paul King’s house on the Old Road. They told us that it is lappa and checken soup in those boxes.”  Arthur B. Abdullai, Country Manager and Person of Interest, EHS Africa Logistics

“My boss Arthur B. Abdullai instructed me and Emmanuel Zeon to take six boxes of cargo from Paul King’s house on the VP Road to ship.” Archie Nyanfor, Cargo Handler and Person of Interest, EHS Africa Logistics

Recordings now circulating widely contain testimonies attributed to officials and employees of EHS Africa Logistics, the company involved in transporting the shipment intercepted at Roberts International Airport (RIA).

In one recording, Archie Nyanfor, a cargo handler and person of interest at EHS Africa Logistics, told investigators that he and colleague Emmanuel Zeon acted on instructions from their employer, Arthur B. Abdullai, to collect six boxes from the residence of Paul King.

“On Friday, June 5, 2026, my boss, Arthur B. Abdullai, instructed me and Emmanuel Zeon to take six boxes of cargo from Paul King’s house on the VP Road for shipment. Emmanuel Zeon was present on Sunday when RIA security officers conducted a physical inspection and discovered drugs in the cargo. Emmanuel called to inform me, and I immediately notified my boss, Arthur B. Abdullai. He then said he would contact Paul King and his brother because they were the shippers. Emmanuel and I did not know what was inside the cargo when my boss sent us to collect it from their house,” Nyanfor said in the recording.

Another recording, attributed to Arthur B. Abdullai, Country Manager of EHS Africa Logistics, indicates that he relied on information provided by the shipper regarding the contents of the boxes and had no means of independently verifying them.

“As I said, I showed you the air waybill. The shipper told us what was in the boxes. He said they contained lappa and chicken soup. My responsibility was to process the air waybill for the cargo to leave on Sunday. GLS is not a stranger to us. They regularly send items for shipment, and I do not always know what they contain. I do not have a scanner to inspect the contents. The shipment was collected from Paul King’s house on the Old Road. I have never been there myself. Archie Nyanfor went to collect the boxes, and I instructed him to transport them to the airport. Later, Archie called and informed me that there was a problem at the airport,” Abdullai allegedly told investigators.

The leaked statements appear to place Paul King and his brother at the center of the shipment. However, authorities have yet to publicly confirm the authenticity of the recordings or announce any charges based on the testimonies.

The revelations come as investigators continue to probe what has become one of Liberia’s largest drug cases. The cocaine was discovered in six boxes being prepared for export through Roberts International Airport.

Authorities have remained tight-lipped about the investigation, but the case has sparked growing calls for transparency and accountability amid concerns that others may have been involved.

Paul King and his representatives could not immediately be reached for comment regarding the allegations contained in the recordings. It is also unclear whether the statements have been formally admitted into evidence.

As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge regarding the origin of the shipment, those involved, and the circumstances surrounding the attempted export of the drugs.
