Monrovia – Nimba County Senator Samuel Kogar has confirmed holding separate engagements with opposition figures Alexander Cummings and former President George M. Weah, while stating that he remains open to a future vice presidential offer.
Speaking on OK FM, Kogar disclosed that Cummings invited him for discussions on working together and suggested he join his nationwide engagements, although no vice presidential proposal was made.
The senator clarified that former President Weah has never discussed a running mate arrangement with him, noting that the only time he visited Weah’s residence was after it caught fire.
Kogar said that if any opposition political leader were to offer him the vice presidency, he would first consult Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung and the people of Nimba County before making a decision. He emphasized that he is not campaigning for the position and insisted any future political decision would be made openly and transparently.
Kogar also reaffirmed his commitment to the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR), saying he has no intention of leaving the party.
