AFL Personnel Arrested with US$9,777 Worth of Tramadol in Bong County

An investigation by Verity News has gathered intelligence report that the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) in Bong County has arrested an Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) personnel with Tramadol reportedly valued at US$9,777.

The arrest was made in Sanoyea District, Lower Bong County, while the AFL personnel, who is assigned to Lofa County, was allegedly transporting the controlled substance for commercial purposes.

Following his arrest, the suspect was reportedly taken to the LDEA Headquarters in Monrovia, where he is currently undergoing investigation.

As of now, the LDEA Headquarters has yet to officially make the arrest public or provide further details regarding the case.

An LDEA agent speaking to this paper on condition of anonymity said that the arrested AFL personnel is noted for alleged drug smuggling.
