A Liberian student studying Economics, Emmanuel T. Dickson, has been elected First Vice President of the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali Students’ Union (UNILAKSU) in Rwanda.
Dickson defeated Muhumuza Benon. He is the first Liberian, and reportedly the second international student, to hold the post since the University was founded in 1997. His term lasts one academic year.
Dickson previously served as Vice President and then President of the Student Council Government at the Jerusalem School System in District #14, Montserrado County, Liberia.
At UNILAK, Dickson also leads the Student Board Representatives (SBR), which brings together class presidents from across various colleges.
