Criminal Court “E” at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia has found former National Security Agency (NSA) official Peter Bon Jallah, 63, guilty of statutory rape and kidnapping involving a 16-year-old boy.
The verdict was delivered on Friday, October 23, 2026, by Assigned Circuit Judge Wesseh Alphonsus Wesseh Sr., following a full trial during the August Term of Court.
Jallah was remanded to Monrovia Central Prison pending the preparation of a pre-sentence and behavioral report by the Ministry of Justice’s Bureau of Probation Services. The report will assist the court in determining his sentence.
According to the indictment, the victim lived in the Airfield Shark Community in Sinkor and occasionally visited Jallah’s residence to perform domestic errands for compensation.
Prosecutors alleged that Jallah sexually assaulted the teenager on November 29 and December 24, 2025. The indictment further alleged that on January 1, 2026, Jallah approached the boy after a community football match and offered to purchase football boots for him.
The prosecution claimed the boy was subsequently taken to a building in the Camp Johnson Road area, where he was allegedly held for three days and sexually abused by Jallah and two unidentified accomplices.
The indictment further alleged that the teenager was concealed in the back of Jallah’s vehicle and abandoned along 15th Street in Sinkor on January 3, 2026. Private security guards reportedly discovered him and alerted his family, who took him to John F. Kennedy Medical Center for medical examinations.
However, the court acquitted Jallah of gang rape after finding the prosecution’s evidence insufficient to support a conviction on that count.
During the trial, prosecutors presented 13 regular witnesses and six rebuttal witnesses, while the defense called eight regular witnesses, including Jallah, and three subpoenaed witnesses.
Jallah, who pleaded not guilty when arraigned on June 18, 2026, elected to be tried by a judge without a jury.
The court is expected to determine his sentence after receiving the required report.
