MOH Receives Donation from Liberian Philanthropist Dennis B. Garsinii

Monrovia, Liberia – The Ministry of Health (MOH) has received a generous donation of essential medical supplies to bolster the country’s healthcare infrastructure.

The donation, presented by Liberian philanthropist Mr. Dennis B. Garsinii, is expected to be distributed to various government-run health facilities across Liberia.

The donation includes a wide range of critical medical items, including 58 cartons of disposable knee-high fluid barrier boots, 23 cartons of vorse tube clamps, 37 cartons of medium suture trays, 13 cartons of clutches, and 12 cartons of sheer adhesive bandages, among other healthcare essentials.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Garsinii highlighted the ongoing challenges facing Liberia’s healthcare system, particularly the lack of sufficient medical supplies.

He stressed the urgent need for improvements in healthcare delivery and expressed hope that this donation would make a tangible impact in addressing some of these challenges.

“The healthcare system in Liberia faces significant hurdles, and as a country, we must work together to improve the situation,” said Mr. Garsinii. “This donation is a small step, but I hope it will support healthcare professionals on the frontlines and improve the quality of care for Liberians.”

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Teyah S. Moore, Assistant Minister for Curative Services, expressed profound gratitude for Mr. Garsinii’s contribution.

Dr. Moore assured the public that the medical supplies would be distributed promptly and efficiently to health facilities nationwide, helping to address the pressing needs of healthcare workers and patients.

“We are truly grateful to Mr. Garsinii for this kind and thoughtful donation,” Dr. Moore said. “These medical supplies will go a long way in improving the quality of healthcare delivery in Liberia. We are committed to ensuring they reach the facilities that need them most.”

The donation underscores the continued need for private sector involvement and philanthropic contributions supporting Liberia’s healthcare sector.

As the country works to overcome its healthcare challenges, efforts such as those of Mr. Garsinii serve as a vital boost to ongoing initiatives to enhance the well-being of the Liberians.
