MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Alvina Security Services Inc. has announced plans to commemorate its fourth anniversary in August with a humanitarian outreach that will provide meals and other essential support to more than 500 visually impaired persons across Liberia.
The initiative, according to the company, underscores its commitment to corporate social responsibility and reflects its determination to extend its impact beyond the provision of professional security services.
Speaking ahead of the anniversary celebration, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Alvin C. Mackay, described the occasion as more than a celebration of the company’s achievements, saying it is an opportunity to give back to some of the country’s most vulnerable citizens.
“Our anniversary is about giving back to the people,” Chief Mackay said. “We believe businesses have a responsibility to uplift communities and show compassion to those who need it most. By reaching out to our visually impaired brothers and sisters, we hope to bring joy, hope, and encouragement to their lives.”
Beyond the planned humanitarian exercise, Chief Mackay called on the Ministry of Justice to give greater attention to Liberia’s private security sector, emphasizing that licensed security companies remain vital partners in safeguarding businesses, institutions, communities, and private properties while supporting the efforts of the Liberia National Police and other state security agencies.
He urged the government to strengthen collaboration with private security providers through improved regulatory oversight, regular professional training, and policies that recognize the sector’s contribution to national peace and security.
According to him, increased government support for the industry would not only enhance public safety but also create employment opportunities for hundreds of young Liberians, strengthen crime prevention efforts, and contribute to economic growth.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Alvina Security Services Inc. is expected to host a special program bringing together government officials, security professionals, business executives, civil society organizations, representatives of the visually impaired community, religious leaders, and other invited guests.
The event will celebrate the company’s four years of operations while promoting the values of compassion, community service, and stronger partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Established four years ago, Alvina Security Services Inc. has earned a reputation for delivering professional security services to businesses, institutions, and individuals across Liberia. The company says it remains committed to integrity, discipline, professionalism, and excellence while expanding its contribution to national development through humanitarian initiatives.
The anniversary celebration is expected to serve as both a reflection on the company’s achievements and a renewed pledge to support vulnerable communities while advocating for stronger cooperation between the Government of Liberia and the private security industry in advancing peace, safety, and sustainable national development.
