Boakai Warns Drug Traffickers: “We Will Identify You, Pursue You and Find You”

MONROVIA — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has issued a strong warning to individuals involved in bringing illegal drugs into Liberia, declaring that no person will be protected from justice by wealth, influence, position, or authority.

President Boakai said Liberia will not be allowed to become a transit point for international drug trafficking, particularly as the country continues efforts to protect young people from the harmful effects of narcotics.

“To those who believe that their position, influence, wealth, or authority place them beyond the reach of justice, open your ears and hear me today,” President Boakai warned.

He vowed that authorities would identify and pursue individuals involved in the illegal drug trade and ensure they face the law.

“We will identify you. We will pursue you. We will find you, and we will deal with you in accordance with the law,” the President declared.

His remarks underscore his administration’s intensified campaign against drug trafficking and organized crime in Liberia.
